Some London councillors would like to see food trucks on city streets by this spring, but others are still concerned of the effects of them.

Councillor Josh Morgan and mayor Matt Brown are bringing the issue back before council.

The same issues that were brought up with food trucks last year resurfaced at a committee meeting Tuesday night.

Councillor Harold Usher says that the main concern has always been that they would have to be careful to not allow the trucks to take business away from area restaurants, and we need to try them out first.

Another concern they have is too many trucks selling the same items.

Last night it was recommended that staff create rules for a one-year pilot project to allow the trucks.

More talks will happen Feb. 18.
