It seems drivers are again struggling to deal with snowy and slippery conditions as dozens of crashes were reported Thursday and Friday.
Oxford County OPP are reporting at least 20 collisions since 6 a.m. Friday after the first snowfall in that area.
Police say the crashes happened on county roads as well as on Highways 401 and 403. Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported.
In addition, Woodstock police say they responded to 16 separate collisions in the city, mostly fender benders, though one collision did involve minor injuries.
Meanwhile, South Bruce OPP say from noon Thursday to noon Friday, they responded to 15 crashes, including two with non-life-threatening injuries and one fatal.
Fifty-nine-year-old Marcus Urbanowicz of London died when his SUV spun out and collided with a pickup on Bruce County Road 12 near Formosa on Thursday afternoon.
In midwestern Ontario, snowfall amounts ranged from a couple of centimetres to 15 centimetres of snow in communities like Seaforth.
Police are reminding motorists to ensure they are prepared for winter roads and to adjust their driving speed to the conditions.
Weather watches and warnings
Environment Canada has issued several watches and warnings for southwestern Ontario throughout the day Friday.
As of 5:30 p.m. a snow squall warning was in place for Huron, Perth and southern Bruce County.
Meanwhile a snow squall watch is in effect for Grey County, Waterloo Region and northern Wellington County, the Bruce Peninsula and other areas further east.
