Several fire departments were needed to respond to a house fire in Glencoe on Thursday morning that caused extensive damage.
Members of the Glencoe, Wardsville, Melbourne and Alvinston Fire Services were called to 3045 Oil Field Drive around 9:40 a.m.
The house fire was fully involved when crews arrived and Middlesex OPP were called in to redirect traffic.
Oil Field Drive between Pratt Siding Road and Airport Road was closed until around 1:45 p.m. as firefighters dealt with the blaze.
Fortunately, nobody was home at the time and no injuries have been reported.
An investigation into the cause of the fire continues and no damage estimate has yet been made available.
