Fatal two-vehicle crash west of Simcoe

Norfolk County OPP have closed Highway 3 west of Simcoe following a serious crash that has left a man dead.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 9:30 a.m. on Friday after a car and an SUV were involved in a collision in Charlotteville.
Investigators say the Toyota car was westbound on Highway 3 and the the Acura SUV was eastbound when the vehicles collided.
The driver of the Toyota, a 54-year-old Norfolk County man was taken by air ambulance to a Hamilton-area hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Acura, a 50-year-old London woman, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision investigators are assisting with the investigation.
Highway 3 between Nixon Road and Charlotteville Concession Road 11 was closed for several hours.
