Huron County OPP say a man was found unresponsive Monday morning and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police and Huron County CMS were called to a pic farm operation on McIntosh Line east of Gorrie just after 11:30 a.m.
A worker at the farm had been found unresponsive in a manure pit by a co-worker.
Sixty-year-old Jack Schwehr, of Howick Township, was declared deceased at the scene by emergency personnel.
Huron OPP officers and OPP Identification Services continue to investigate. The Ontario Ministry of Labour has also been notified.
A post-mortem examination has been scheduled for Tuesday at London Health Sciences Centre.
