Farm Boy has announced it will open two new locations in London that are expected to bring 260 new jobs.

The Beaverbrook location at 1415 Beaverbrook Avenue will be 28,000 sq. ft. and a Masonville location at 109 Fanshawe Park Road East will be 23,680 sq. ft.

Both locations are slated to open in the spring of 2015.

Jeff York, Farm Boy President and CEO, said in a statement, "Our London customers have embraced Farm Boy, and the fresh, unique shopping experience we offer...We are pleased to be furthering our reach in the community with two more stores."

Also on Tuesday, Farm Boy announced it will be providing $25,000 over five years to the London Health Sciences Foundation and Children's Hospital at LHSC for food nutrition education in London.

Farm Boy opened its first London location at 1045 Wellington Road in June.

At the time, York said they had two more stores planned for the city before expansion plans across southwestern Ontario.

The new stores mark the chain’s 17th and 18th locations in Ontario.
