Environment Canada is investigating a possible tornado touchdown near Mount Forest.

High winds Wednesday caused some damage in the area of the Minto-Normanby townline and Ayton Road.

There was minor damage to a farm house, barn, grain bins and some sheds. The roof of a silo was blown away and a car parked at a farmhouse was also damaged.

Local officials were also monitoring the area.

There was also damage reported south of Ailsa Craig, included a roof ripped of a drive shed and launched into a barn.

A house in Flesherton was also damaged after a tree limb pulled hydro wires down on the home's roof and then caught fire. Nobody was home at the time.
