MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ONT. -- OPP are investigating after a westbound transport truck crossed into the eastbound lanes of Highway 402 and ended up in the grass on Thursday morning.

The driver reportedly lost control suddenly, with the truck crossing the grassy median into the oncoming lanes before flipping onto its side on the other shoulder of the highway, stopping just short of a stand of trees.

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries after the crash near Glendon Drive.

No other vehicles were involved, but the crash caused long delays in the eastbound lanes for much of the day as one lane was closed so the truck could be removed.
