Highway 6 and10 in Grey County has reopened after being closed most of Monday, but an investigation into a fire at a Rockford business continues.

Crews were called out to a complex housing Steve Jobin & Sons Truck & Auto Centre as well as Royal Towing and Merrick Automotive shortly before 9 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a fire.

When crews arrived the main building on the property was engulfed in flames.

The property, which includes several buildings including residences, is located on Sideroad 6, just west of Highway 6 and 10.

At least one business and an adjacent home on the property have been destroyed.

Grey County OPP had closed Highway 6 and 10 from Grey Road 16 to Grey Road 18, as the fire department loaded pumpers with water from a nearby stream.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to help with the investigation.

No injuries are reported and the cause has not yet been determined.
