A homeless man has plead guilty in connection to the death of an inmate at the Elgin-Middlesex Detention Centre.

Adam Kargus was killed on October 31st of 2013, allegedly by his cell mate Anthony George of Sarnia.

Thirty-six year old David Cake pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice two weeks ago, but media could not report on it at the time because of a temporary publication ban placed by the court.

Cake was serving time for drug possession and breaking curfew conditions.

On Nov. 1, the day after Kargus's murder, Cake wiped down the blood on the floor after Kargus's body was dragged to a washroom.

Cake will be sentenced March 18.

George is charged with second degree murder.
