The following emails between London Mayor Matt Brown and Coun. Maureen Cassidy were obtained by CTV News through the Freedom of Information Act.

On March 16, 2016, Brown forwarded Cassidy an email about the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' nomination to is board.

The subject line in the email, is Nominations to FCM’s Board of Directors

"In case you have not seen this. Thanks, Matt"

On March 19, 2016, Cassidy sent an email to staff members Lynne Livingstone, Trevor Fowler and Sandra Bere. The subject line is Mayor's Advisory Panel meeting confidential material for Monday.

"Hi Lynne et al,

Again, just a couple of typos:

- Recommendation #2.8 on pg 35 - the word publicly is spelled incorrectly.

- In the section entitled "Poverty Among Older Adults", on pg 44, - 2nd paragraph, 2nd sentence uses the word average twice ("on average...received an average")

So, as the newbie on the panel, I don't have any changes or issues with the recommendations themselves. I will admit to having a philosophical problem with one single recommendation which I won't reveal publicly since I know I'm outnumbered by the socialists on the panel and since I don't want to reveal any personal partisan leanings that might link me to Squire. Haha

I think, overall, the report is something we can all be proud of for whatever small part any one of us played in bringing it to fruition.

You three especially, along with your staff who've been involved, should be incredibly proud. I know there will always be nay-sayers but I pray this report is as well-received by the majority of people as it deserves to be.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support, including the copious amounts of blood, sweat and tears that you've each contributed to this incredibly challenging project. I can honestly say it's been one of the hardest things I've ever been involved in. Ever.

Thanks especially for propping me up psychologically and emotionally when I knew I was in way over my head - and for keeping me afloat with whatever life preserver you could lay your hands on

Thanks finally for being incredible teachers on an unbelievably complex and difficult subject. I have learned more than I ever thought possible in an incredibly short period of time - the biggest thing, as cliché as it is, was how much more there still is to learn.

It's been an incredible, difficult journey but it has been an absolute pleasure taking this journey with all of you!"

Sincerely, Maureen

Brown responded: "A very nice and very sincere note. All three of them will appreciate this message of thanks, They really did go above and beyond. No question in my mind." Matt

On April 8, 2016, there was an email exchange between Brown and Cassidy with the subject line of Letter from Chamber on Mayor's Advisory Panel on Poverty.

"You're leading the implementation..." Brown writes.

She replies: "Um ... don't remember signing up for that."

"On going leadership role...." he writes.

Then on April 12, 2016, the subject line in an exchange between the pair is Relations with First Nations.

Cassidy asks Brown why she can't be the one to second his motion aimed at improving relations with nearby First Nations communities.

"Why can't I second it?"

"You could, didn't want to speak for you based on convos we've had over the past few weeks. Want to?" Brown replies.

She writes: "Yes!! F—k all those people who profess to be so pro 1st Nations Relations and who have done precisely f—k all!" m
