LONDON, ONT. -- It’s one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready now go…skateboard?

What started as a “GoPro challenge” has turned into a video hit for three local men.

“My phone has not stopped ringing,” says Jamie Mills.

He, along with his two friends Chris Goss and Shane Jack each appear dressed like Elvis while skateboarding around London’s downtown in the video, thanks to costumes provided by London’s Roy Leblanc.

“We didn’t get one negative comment. Everyone loved it,” Mills adds.

Besides the exercise and fun, Mills tells CTV News London the main reason they did it was - not for the fame or recognition - but to bring smiles to the downtown core in these stressful pandemic times.

As the video’s description says, “This city needs to remember how to have fun!!”

At one point the three men speak with a London Police Service officer who says, “You guys are great, I love it…brings a smile to everyone’s face.”

There will be more videos popping up on Mills’ YouTube channel We’re CocoNUTS and the skateboarding Elvis impersonators would like to challenge CTV News London’s own Elvis nut Sean Irvine to appear in a upcoming video.
