Ekcoe Public School in Glencoe will be closed indefinitely because of mould.

Students were off Tuesday and Wednesday and will also get Thursday off as well, but classes will resume Friday at Glencoe District High School until the matter is resolved.

The principal of Ekcoe Public School in Glencoe sent out a letter stating that the school would be open on Tuesday, only to turn kids away the first first day of classes.

“Over the summer months, the school was cleaned thoroughly. Due to abnormally high heat and humidity, some spaces in the school had mould growth,” says the letter dated Friday and signed by principal Jennifer Richards.

Parents who dropped off their kids Tuesday morning had to come back and pick them up and find childcare, causing frustration.
