Oxford County OPP are searching for a suspect after a stolen vehicle reportedly hit two transports before the driver fled on foot.

Police were called to the westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Oxford Road 29, east of Woodstock, just before 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Investigators say a green, four-door Acura was westbound when it hit the side of a westbound tractor trailer before losing control and hitting a second westbound tractor trailer.

The driver of the Acura then reportedly abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

A search of the area by the OPP, including the Emergency Response Team and the Canine Unit, was unable to locate the driver.

Investigators say the Acura had been reported stolen from London earlier that evening. It had to be towed from the scene.

Anyone with information on the driver or the crash is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, their nearest police authority or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
