Norfolk County OPP officers are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision in Charlotteville.
Emergency crews were called to the crash at Lynedoch Road and Highway 3 on Tuesday at 2:21 a.m.
Police say a vehicle was travelling eastbound on Lynedoch Road when it left the roadway, entered the east ditch and collided with a tree. The vehicle subsequently caught fire, which was extinguished by attending firefighters.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner. OPP technical traffic collision officers are assisting with the investigation.
