TD Canada Trust is confirming that some if its employees in London have been laid off, but declined to say how many.
Reports to CTV News indicate that about 30 people were affected at the bank's main office on King Street.
Another 40 were apparently let go from the Lyle Street call centre last week.
A bank spokesperson in Toronto would only say that the employees affected are being treated fairly and with respect.
He went on to say the layoffs are part of a streamlining of executive and corporate management.
