Two dogs who ran away after a collision in the area of Highway 401 near the Putnam weigh scales have been found.
Butters was reportedly found dead after being hit by a car, but Pickles, a two-year-old red Boston Terrier, is apparently recovering from superficial injuries in a local animal hospital.
Local dog trainer Melissa Millett was in the right hand lane of the 401 on Sunday night when her car was struck by another vehicle.
Millett and her daughter, who was also in the car, were taken to hospital Sunday night, but are okay.
When the crash happened, the car flipped over and two of Millett's dogs ran away.
