The owner of DeVoG Beauty Inc. is facing 29 counts of fraud after complaints related to the company’s hair design program and apprenticeship activities.

London police and the Office of the Superintendent of Private Career Colleges completed a six month investigation into the activities of DeVoG Beauty Inc. operating as DeVoG Academy of Hair Design at 355 Wellington Street.

DeVoG was issued a restraining order by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities on Feb. 3, 2012 after complaints related to their hair design program and apprenticeship activities.

The hair design program was shut down in February and DeVoG stopped operating in April 2012.

Police believe 19 students and 10 staff members were affected by the conduct at DeVoG from January 2011 to February 2012.

Thomas Fast, the owner of DeVoG Beauty Inc., is charged with 15 counts of fraud over $5,000 and 14 counts of fraud under $5,000.
