The case of a 16-year-old girl found dead in a Hanover apartment building is no longer being treated as suspicious.

The girl, identified as Claudia Weppler, was found Saturday evening in an apartment complex on 7th Avenue.

Calling her death “unexplained and unexpected,” police initially treated it as suspicious.

But the results of a post mortem completed in London on Monday have prompted a different conclusion.

Hanover police say the results of that examination have been shared with the girl’s family, and will not be made public.

Police say they do not believe the girl’s death was the result of foul play.
