Death of man when truck fell from pier deemed accidental
A pickup truck is hoisted out of Lake Huron after falling from Kincardine's north pier, killing its driver, on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016.
No foul play is suspected in the case of a man who died when his pickup fell from a pier into Lake Huron, provincial police say.
The man died Saturday, after his truck fell from the north pier of the Kincardine Harbour.
It took about seven hours from when police were notified of the incident to pull the pickup out of the water using specialized equipment.
On Friday, South Bruce OPP identified the man as Terry Hunter, a 59-year-old Kincardine resident.
His truck slipped off the pier while it was making a turn, police said.
