South Bruce OPP are investigating after a dangerous drug was stolen from an area veterinary clinic.

Police were called shortly after 8:00 a.m. Friday about a theft from the Mildmay Veterinary Clinic on Highway 9 in Carrick Township.

Police say sometime between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., a large quantity of prescribed medication was taken from the business including Euthanyl.

It's also known as pentobarvitol sodium, used for euthanasia of animals.

Police are very concerned since this drug can be fatal to humans.

The value of the drugs is over $6,000.
