The 19-year-old killed in a collision with a cement truck on Thursday has been identified as Alexandra Foto.
The collision happened around 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Wharncliffe Road and Riverside Drive.
London police say a westbound cement truck was attempting to turn north onto Wharncliffe when it collided with the westbound cyclist.
Foto was transported to hospital where she later died of her injuries.
The investigation continues and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them at 519-661-5680.
Foto attended Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School and was set to begin her second year as a student at the University of Waterloo studying International Development, according to her Facebook page.
In a blog post for the University of Waterloo's Student Success Office, Foto wrote about a recent trip to Brazil with World Vision working to eliminate violence against children.
Lafarge Canada, the company that owns the concrete truck involved in the collision on Thursday, has released a statement on the crash.
Shawn Tylee, general manager for southwestern Ontario, said "We were deeply distressed when we learned of this fatal incident involving a concrete truck owned and operated by Lafarge and a cyclist in London. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are affected by this tragedy, especially the family and friends of the cyclist.
"To know that a family has been forever changed by this tragedy is devastating. The loss is heart wrenching, the impact lasting. Today, and for many days to come, our hearts will be with the family and friends as they face this difficult time.
"At Lafarge, safety is our most important value. This terrible tragedy serves to remind us of the vital importance of safety in our community. We are taking all necessary steps to establish all of the facts and will cooperate fully with the authorities as they continue their investigation."
