Testimony began in the murder trial of a young Milverton man Tuesday morning.
The Crown laid out their case against Michael Schweitzer in a Stratford courtroom.
The 25-year-old is accused of first-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Nicole Wagler and attempted murder of 22-year-old Tyler Baker over three years ago.
The crown says Wagler, Baker and the accused were part of a love triangle and that Schweitzer became jealous that Baker and Wagler were growing close.
The Crown says it was a planned and deliberate shooting, spurred by rejected text messages from the accused to the victim shortly before it happened.
The defence has yet to share the accused's side of the story.
The Crown is expected to call up to 15 witnesses and the defence between two and five witnesses.
Testimony continues Wednesday.
