There were numerous collisions in the London area on Wednesday, but one of the biggest involved six transports on Highway 401.
The Elgin County OPP is investigating after six tractor trailers and two passenger vehicles were involved in a collision in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 just east of Iona Rd.
No major injuries were reported, but one driver was transported to hospital as a precaution.
All eastbound lanes were shut down for several hours due to the collision around 3 p.m.
Traffic was being diverted off Highway 401 at the Currie Road Emergency Detour Route and allowed back onto Highway 401 at Union Road.
Motorists are being advised to exercise extreme care when travelling as road conditions have been changing rapidly with the snow squall streamers.
Over a 12-hour period on Wednesday, Elgin County OPP say they responded to 13 separate collisions.
