Middlesex OPP officers say a single-vehicle collision led to a fire and an impaired driving arrest of a 34-year-old London man.
Emergency crews responded to the crash on Elginfield Road at Nairn Road in North Middlesex at 9:24 a.m. on Sunday.
Police say a vehicle left the roadway at the intersection and entered the ditch, causing the vehicle to catch fire. Two occupants were able to exit the vehicle with minor injuries.
The driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Officers say they confirmed that the driver had been drinking.
Szabolcs Balogh, 34, of London was charged with impaired driving. The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in a London court room on Oct. 22.
