A fatal collision involving three transport trucks has closed the westbound lanes of Highway 402 at Modeland Road through to the Bluewater Bridge in Sarnia.
OPP were called to the scene around noon and say the driver involved in the initial collision died. The other two transport truck drivers were not injured.
They say a westbound transport truck had collided into a row of stopped transport trucks that had been waiting to cross the Bluewater Bridge in an attempt to enter the United States.
The 402 will remain closed at Highway 40 pending the completion of the initial investigation and removal of the damaged transport trucks and their trailers. At this time it is unknown how long the highway will be closed.
