An Owen Sound man is facing several charges following a single-vehicle collision Sunday night.

At approximately 9:45 p.m. Owen Sound police along with fire and ambulance responded to the scene of a crash in the 2100 block of 9th Avenue East.

Police say a 39-year-old man lost control of his 2011 Ford Edge, striking the east side guard rail, causing extensive damage to the vehicle. The man was uninjured in the collision.

While investigating the incident police suspected that the man may have been impaired. According to police breath tests revealed that he had four times the legal limit of alcohol.

As a result of the investigation Kenneth Wayoe, 39, of Owen Sound has been charged with impaired driving, driving with over 80 milligrams, and driving while suspended.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 28th.
