Ontario remains in the grips of a cold snap, with the forecast calling for bone-chilling winds and blowing snow in parts of the province.
Environment Canada issued snow squall warnings from Wingham to Barrie and Collingwood, saying cold, strong winds over Lake Huron and Georgian Bay could bring bursts of heavy snow and near-zero visibility.
Snow squall watches were in effect for Stratford, Goderich, Listowel and northern Wellington County in southwestern Ontario.
And a swath of northern Ontario is under a wind chill warning as a bitterly cold Arctic air mass makes temperatures as low as -45 Celsius feel more like -55.
Meanwhile, some municipalities and regions have put out weather warnings of their own.
Toronto is under an extreme cold weather alert for a second day, while health officials in Middlesex-London issued the region's first cold weather alert of the year this morning.
