The city of London is warning residents in the area of Commissioners and Wharncliffe Roads that a coyote could be roaming the neighbourhood.

It is believed that two dogs were attacked by a coyote Friday in a backyard adjacent to parkland and natural areas near the site.

One dog died due to its injuries and the other was severely injured.

Residents should use the city pathways in the area with caution, especially if they are walking with family pets. London Police and animal control have been advised of the sightings.

Call 911 if you see any coyote.
