Things ramped up on the second day of a strike by City of London inside workers.

There were delays at a city garbage depot Tuesday morning.

Striking workers were briefly delaying the entry and exit of the trucks at the location on Exeter Road.

CUPE 101 representative Shelley Navarroli says they are conducting their lawful protest as they have some members that work at that location, but they are supported by the outside workers - including the truck drivers.

Workers continued their picket outside of city hall as well.

The union says the two sides are still far apart on the issues, which include wages, hours of work, changes to job evaluations and retirement benefits.

Meantime, city managers are stepping in to take over the work, but there may still be delays as some city services are reduced.

Officials are telling people to call the city with any questions or concerns.
