The city of London and CUPE 101 have reached a tentative agreement.

Both sides issued media releases Sunday afternoon.

In a release, CUPE states, "The Parties have reached a tentative agreement that both negotiating teams will recommend to their principles. No further details will be released until ratification votes have been held. The media blackout will continue until both ratification votes have taken place."

Sunday marked day 56 of the strike.

CUPE 101 represents 750 inside workers.

The strike has been ongoing since May.

The city contacted a provincial mediator in an effort to get talks back on track with CUPE 101 last weekend, and both sides agreed to meet.

Wages and work schedules were among the biggest hurdles.
