A Wingham-area grandfather has one upped himself, again.

Owen Curtiss has beat last year’s Christmas display with 112,000 sparkling Christmas lights.

For the past eight years he’s covered almost every inch of his three-and-a-half acre property near Wingham with Christmas lights.

He started with a few thousand and it just keeps growing and growing. He takes the lights down during the first week of January and wants as many visitors as possible to come.

The light display is mostly for pleasure, but he accepts donations for the Make-A-Wish Foundation as well.

He’s located at 42094 Salem Rd. just five minutes northeast of Wingham.

In case you’re wondering, his electricity bill was over $1,000 for last year’s display.
