A 55-year-old man already facing a slew of charges is now facing counts of possessing and accessing child pornography.

Lewis Tavenor had been facing charges that included five counts of sexual assault in relation to four separate female victims.

The Saugeen Shores Police Service says those charges were laid in July 2012. At the same time Tavenor was charged with:

  • possession of marijuana
  • possession of fentanyl
  • possession of stolen property
  • break, enter and commit
  • assault
  • uttering threats

Following the charges, items were seized from Tavenor’s apartment, including a computer tower.

As a result of a forensic examination of the seized computer by the OPP’s e-Crimes Section, the additional charges of possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography were laid.

Last Wednesday, Tavenor was arrested and charged with the two new counts and was being held in custody.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Saugeen Shores Police Service.
