Provincial police have charged a man and a woman following a series of ‘gas-and-dash’ thefts in the City of London and Middlesex County.
Clinton Bressette, 35, of Bosanquet Township, has been charged with three counts of theft under $5,000, failing to comply with undertaking and breach of probation.
Donelda Stacy Day, 33, also of Bosanquet Township is facing one count of theft under $5,000.
Middlesex OPP had been searching for a white, four-door Pontiac Grand Prix with a male and female occupant.
Investigators say there were reports that the woman would distract staff while the male filled the vehicle and they would then drive off.
Bressette was remanded in custody while Day was released and is expected in court on May 14th.
The public’s assistance is being credited with helping in the arrests.
