Charges laid in Strathroy child's death
Two people have been formally charged in connection to the sudden death of a one year old child in Strathroy.
Emergency crews had been called to a home on Penny Lane late Wednesday night after reports of the death of a one-year-old boy.
On Friday, police arrested Amanda Dumont, 28, and Scott Bakker, 24, at a Pannell Lane address in Strathroy.
Both have been charged with Criminal Negligence Causing Death and Failing to Provide the Necessaries of Life.
They are currently in custody to await a bail hearing on Monday in London.
The victim has been identified as 20 month old Ryker Daponte-Michaud of Strathroy.
Visitation service for the toddler takes place Tuesday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Watford Chapel of Denning Funeral Directors in Watford.
That will be followed by a funeral mass Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Watford.
The investigation continues.
