The driver of a minivan involved in a crash that sent three children to hospital in February is now facing charges.
Huron County OPP responed to a two-vehicle crash at Highway 8 and Parr Line near Holmseville around 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 21.
Investigatos say a Pontiac Minivan was westbound on Highway 8 when the driver turned left in front of an eastbound pickup, which struck the van on the passenger side.
An eight-year-old girl was completely ejected from the minivan and remains in hospital with serious injuries more than two months later.
A five-year-old girl was partially ejected and a three-year-old boy was also injured.
The female driver and an adult male passenger were also not wearing seatbelts.
As a result, the driver of the minivan, 28-year-old Candaise Guay of Central Huron has been charged with; turn not in safety, driver fail to properly wear seatbelt, fail to ensure toddler properly secured, fail to ensure child properly secured and driver - fail to ensure passenger under 16 years properly secured by seatbelt.
The adult male passenger in the minivan, 29-year-old John Topor of Huron East was charged with passenger fail to properly wear a seatbelt.
