St. Thomas police have charged two men in connection with the theft of an estimated $50,000 in jewelry from a home.

A few days after the completion of an extensive home renovation, the homeowner found her jewelry had gone missing from its hiding spot in a bedroom.

Following an investigation, Jeffrey Rodey, 25, of St. Thomas has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and James Campbell, 34, of St. Thomas has been charged with theft over $5,000.

Fortunately, officials say all of the stolen jewelry has been recovered and returned to the rightful owner.

The investigation continues and police say additional arrests and charges are possible.
