A man is facing several charges, including arson, after a weekend house fire in Sarnia.  

Early Saturday morning Sarnia Fire and Rescue and Sarnia Police responded to a house fire in the 100 block of College Street South.

Luckily no one was injured in the fire, however damage is described as extensive.

Police say 24-year-old Timothy Duquette has been charged as a result of an investigation into the fire.

Police allege Duquette was at the residence shortly before the fire and was involved in an altercation with several people. According to police an assault occurred and another man required treatment at Bluewater Health.

Duquette is then alleged to have returned to the home to set the fire.

As a result Duquette is charged with assault causing bodily harm, arson having disregard for human life, and two counts of failing to comply with his probation order.
