Lambton OPP say a 20-year-old was arrested and charged Wednesday after a pellet gun shooting incident in Forest earlier this week.

Investigators say around 3 p.m. Monday a 70-year-old Lambton woman was struck in the face by a pellet. She was treated at the scene by Lambton EMS for a minor injury.

Police allege Cory Taylor of Forest, had been shooting a .177 calibre pellet pistol on Main Street from the upper floor of a building, when the woman was struck.

Taylor has been charged with:

  • careless use of firearm, weapon, ammunition
  • assault with a weapon
  • discharge a firearm into a place in reckless manner
  • use firearm while committing offence
  • possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • pointing a firearm

He is scheduled to appear in a Sarnia court on February 3 to face the charges.
