Chatham-Kent police are looking for suspects after a cat was thrown from a moving vehicle.

Sunday night around 5:35 p.m., police say the complainant witnessed a cat being thrown from a moving vehicle in the area of McCreary Line and Dawn Valley Road just outside Dresden.

The witness stopped to check on the well-being of the cat and subsequently transported the animal to a local veterinary clinic.

The animal suffered serious injuries and the investigation has been taken over by the OSPCA.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle involved in the incident and/or the parties responsible.

The vehicle is described as a late model single cab Chevrolet Duramax diesel 4x4 pickup truck.

The truck was further described as being lifted with LED headlights and aftermarket tail lights. The exhaust was very loud and the windows are tinted. The vehicle was last seen traveling towards Dresden.
