A bus driver has been slapped with a distracted driving charge after a bus carrying minor hockey players from a Toronto-area midget team crashed on Highway 401 near Woodstock, injuring three.
Two Markham Majors players and a parent were taken to hospital with minor injuries after the bus crashed into a roadside barrier Friday near the Drumbo Road exit.
All three have now been released.
The name of the person charged and that of the bus company have not been released.
The team was en route to a tournament in Ohio when the crash occurred.
