A large-scale, fully functional regional emergency exercise to test the province's ability to respond to nuclear incidents is set for next week in Bruce County.

The drill will run from Monday to Friday and is part of an annual training schedule established to ensure emergency preparedness in Ontario.

The exercise - called Huron Resolve - will simulate a major nuclear incident at Bruce Power.

During the drill, area residents may see emergency vehicles, aircraft and personnel responding to simulated emergencies at various sites across Bruce County.
