PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Alex Broadhurst's power-play goal at 5:29 of the third period snapped a 4-4 tie and the London Knights defeated the Plymouth Whalers 6-4 on Wednesday to take a 3-1 lead in OHL Western Conference final.

Plymouth, fined $7,500 earlier in the day by the league for coach Mike Vellucci's comments about the officiating after Game 3, were without forward Mitchell Heard, who was suspended one game by the OHL for a check from behind on Tuesday.

Sebastian Uvira and Vince Trocheck scored in the first period for the Whalers, while Broadhurst and Seth Griffith replied for the Knights.

London's Bo Horvat and Ryan Rupert scored to open the second period before Garrett Meurs and Tom Wilson tallied late for Plymouth to make it 4-4 after two periods.

Uvira took a hooking penalty at 3:51 of the third period, allowing London to work on the power play and Broadhurst getting the game-winner.

Griffith added an empty-netter at 18:40.
