A Sebringville bridge will be dedicated in memory of a fallen OPP officer.
Black Creek Bridge will be renamed after fallen officer, Const. Sam Ankenmann. On June 29, 1968, Ankenmann lost control of his cruiser in foggy conditions on Highway 7/8 near Stratford and crashed into a ditch. Ankenmann died as a result.
The dedication ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on Nov. 19 at the Sebringville Community Centre.
