A 12-year-old boy has died in a farm accident in Perth County.
Emergency crews were called to a farm on Line 61 in the Township of Perth East on Monday around 7:30 p.m.
Perth County OPP say the deceased has been identified as Samuel Zehr, from Perth East.
Police say the boy had been working in a barn. The child was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced deceased.
The cause of death has not been determined, but foul play is not suspected.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Tuesday.
The Perth County OPP and the Office of the Coroner continue to investigate this incident.
