A fire that destroyed a vacant home on Pond Mills Road has been deemed suspicious.

The fire call came in Thursday afternoon around 4:30 and emergency personnel rushed to 130 Pond Mills Road.

Police say the scene will be held overnight for the fire Inspector as well as London police arson detectives. The damage is estimated at $50,000

The structure sits about a kilometre and a half off the road in a wooded area.

Firefighters used an aerial ladder to spray down the structure.

No injuries have been reported.
