A former coach with the London Knights and his son, who is a Montreal Canadiens' prospect, each pleaded guilty Wednesday in a London courtoom to one count of assault.
Jacques Beaulieu, who was head coach of the Sarnia Sting at the time charges were laid, and his son Nathan Beaulieu, received conditional discharges and nine months' probation.
The charges stemmed from an altercation at a house party in April that followed a charity golf tournament. Two people suffered minior injuries.
Pat Ducharme, the pair's lawyer, told CTV News that the sentence will not be an impediment to Nathan's hockey career.
