Assault charges laid following disturbance

Two people have been charged following a disturbance at a home in Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.

On Tuesday morning just after 12:30, Middlesex OPP were called to a home on Middlemiss Drive.

Police said an investigation ensued, leading to two people being charged. All injuries were minor.

A 30-year-old man from Munsee Delaware First Nation is facing charges for assault with a weapon, two counts of assault, uttering threats – property damage, and break-and-enter a dwelling – commit an indictable offence.

A 29-year-old woman from Chippewas of the Thames First Nation is also facing charges for assault with a weapon, assault and break-and-enter a dwelling – commit and indictable offence.

No further details on the incident have been provided by police.
