Two males have been arrested after police were called to a student residence on Western Road over the weekend.
Police responded to a 911 call reporting hearing someone on the main floor of a student residence around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday.
When officers arrived they found two males attempting to back out of the laneway of the home in the caller's vehicle.
Two 21-year-olds, Noah Hamblin of London and Anthony Bernhardt of no fixed address, have been charged with:
- break and enter
- auto theft
- possession of property obtained by crime
Hamblin is also charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, fail to submit to drug evaluation and breach of recognizance, while Bernhardt is also charged with possession of a Schedule II substance and breach of undertaking.
The vehicle and the property in the vehicle that was taken from the home were recovered.
Police are reminding students to close and lock all windows when no one is home and keep exterior doors locked at all times.
