A 28-year-old Brampton resident is facing charges after police say he was drunk and speeding on Highway 401 near Woodstock.
Oxford County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on the 401 near Dodge Line near Woodstock just before 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
Police say the vehicle was swerving in and out of traffic at 161 kilometers an hour in a posted 100 km/hour zone.
The driver was allegedly found to be impaired and was arrested.
Rajkumar Kaliugavarathan, of Brampton, has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, racing a motor vehicle, driving while under suspension.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Woodstock Courthouse on Aug. 6.
